Course description: 

In this 15-days, instructor-led course, the engineer will learn about the Vereos PET/CT system. The engineer will gain knowledge and skills regarding safety, architecture, components, operation, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. This course also covers system calibration, configuration, alignment, and data flow.

The engineer will have access to a live system, and at the end of the course, will be asked to complete a hands-on demonstration of your capabilities.        

All required materials and detailed instructions are provided by your instructor.

Course objectives: 

Upon successful completion of the course the engineer will be able to:

  • Identify safety concerns when working with the Vereos system
  • Identify all components in the Vereos System
  • Explain the System Architecture
  • Identify the CT and PET Data flow
  • Operate the Vereos system
  • Calibrate the Vereos System (CT & PET)
  • Verify Image Quality (CT & PET)
  • Identify critical installation tasks
  • Identify table alignment steps
  • Calibrate the table
  • Perform Retrospective recon 
  • Identify the CT Gantry states
  • Use Gantry software and program the CT gantry control boards
  • Identify software load steps
  • Configure network and verify connectivity
  • Identify Planned Maintenance steps
  • Use the X-Ray/Generator Tube Removal Tool
  • Use the service tools to troubleshoot the Vereos system at a basic level
