Testing requires expertise in ultrasound imaging, visceral circulation hemodynamics, and duplex ultrasonography interpretation. Duplex ultrasonography can also evaluate functional patency, in-stent restenosis, and occlusion among other complications. Creating standard protocols for duplex ultrasonography of the celiac, mesenteric, renal, portal, and iliac vein stents provides accurate information vital to the long-term patency of these conduits. This Philips Clinical Education 2-hour course for the vascular ultrasonography professionals is developed to provide standards of performance protocols and diagnostic criteria for the visceral stents. The course includes lectures and numerous case studies that enable competent and confident imaging techniques with a systemic and detailed approach to protocol standards. Currency: USDCourse objectives: Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to: Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge of gross and sonographic anatomy of the celiac, mesenteric, and renal arteries, in addition to portal circulation and iliac veins. Identify proper patient preparation, indications for testing, and imaging technique. Describe normal and abnormal findings after visceral stent placement. Employ optimization techniques to improve clinical confidence and disease management.
