Course description: 

In this 4 day, instructor-led course the hospital engineer will learn about the Patient Information Center (PIC) iX central monitoring system. It covers the advance network operation of the system, installation, maintenance and configuration of the PIC iX application.

This course is an Instructor Led Training (ILT). This means that you must attend in-class/lab presentations and complete a series of lab exercises before you will be considered trained. The tasks must be completed under the supervision of an instructor or designee. All required materials and detailed instructions are provided by your instructor.

This class is required prerequisites as the ILT (CMS1IL008, CMS2180 PICiX) and VILT (CMS1VC002, CMS1VC009 VIRTUAL PIC iX) to be completed prior to class.

In this Instructor Led Training you are going to:

  • Define network system topologies
  • Discuss basic network concepts as they apply to the PIC iX system
  • Discuss security and encryption
  • Discuss replacement and reinstallation in a networked topology 
  • Review/define Philips specified hardware for PIC iX
  • Discuss more advance configuration settings, users and roles 
  • Discuss additional hospital interface configurations
