Register What you will learn Course description: This comprehensive, one-day course will explore cardiac anatomy in great detail. Many sonographers have never actually seen a real heart despite performing echocardiograms for years. Now that 3D ultrasound is rapidly becoming commonplace, ultrasound professionals need to understand the heart as it exists in three dimensions. Topics cover detailed anatomy, a guided two-hour porcine dissection, and a comparison of standard 2D ultrasound dimensional imaging to actual anatomy and 3D ultrasound. To truly understand what you are seeing in a 3D echo image, it is critical to have a thorough understanding of basic cardiac anatomy, particularly the spatial relationships between the major structures. This course is of utmost importance for sonographers, especially in the context of the growing utilization of 3D ultrasound. There is no better time, nor a more important reason, to learn 3D cardiac anatomy than now. Prerequisite skills: A thorough knowledge and understanding of 2D echocardiography and system instrumentation is recommended for this program. Currency: USDCourse objectives: At the end of this course, the attendee should be able to: Discuss in situ anatomy Discuss cardiac surface anatomy Discuss the coronary circulation Discuss the great vessels Discuss internal features of the atria and ventricles Discuss cardiac valves and apparatus Discuss the differences and advantages between 2D ultrasound and 3D ultrasound Course details Course Code: FUN101Delivery method: Instructor-led Language: English Duration: 1 Day Course instructor(s) : Philips InstructorCourse disclaimer: The content is for information and education only.
